Toddler Activities
If you have a toddler at home, I am sure you are not looking forward to the upcoming winter months. Here are some activities which may help you keep your sanity until spring arrives. 1. color- try taping the color sheet to your child's high chair or activity table; use large crayons or tape several smaller crayons together in a bundle to make it easier for small hands to hold onto (download color sheets) 2. blow bubbles (homemade bubble recipe) 3. play hide and seek 4. sing a song 5. make an obstacle course out of cushions 6. make a fort out of cushions and sheets 7. read a book 8. dance 9. play dress up with stuffed animals and your child's clothes 10. make music with pots 11. make a playhouse out of a large box 12. roll a ball into an empty trash can or bucket 13. go swimming in the tub 14. record each other on a tape recorder 15. make 'pretend' phone calls to friends and relatives 16. make sock puppets 17. go shopping with an old purse and your child's toys 18. finger paint 19. make a tin cup telephone and talk to each other in it 20. make funny faces in the mirror 21. pull scarves out of a box and put them back in 22. do finger plays (itsy-bitsy spider) 23. call your local library and/or bookstore for storytimes 24. invite friends over to play 25. enroll in a parent/tot class (ex: gymboree, kindermusic)
